What a night! The WA Fashion Awards is basically an excuse for Perth’s fashion industry to get dressed up and party, while recognising the achievements of some of Perth’s brightest fashion stars. Taking out the ultimate crown last night was Jaime Lee Major, the creator of whimsical couture gowns worn by the likes of Kiwi songstress Kimbra. I have to say a huge thank you to my wonderful mum for pulling together my outfit for the night – it pays to have a seamstress in the family!
Alister Yiap took out the Fine Details award for the second year in a row – he must be doing something right!
Necklace and bracelet: mimco; rose gold and swarovski ring: Angus & Coote; Boots: Ann Demeulemeester.
We had the best night, hanging out with some of Perth’s most talented, including the always lovely Shane Newton of Zsadar, the ever-stylish Mikey Walton, the dynamic duo behind On a Whim and the designer (and WAFA winner) behind up and coming label Wild Horses, just to name a few!
A HUGE congratulations to all the nominees of this years WAFA’s: you are all pretty darn amazing!
