Winter Getaway

I was lucky enough to spend a cheeky weekend away with the Family last weekend. If you ask me, there’s nothing more relaxing than a trip to Rottnest!

Being a quick weekend trip, I only took one small bag with essentials: one dress, one pair of shoes, a pair of jeans, a couple of tops and my favourite Dion Lee for Cue parker.

This dress is one of my long-time favourites. My mum actually made it for herself when she was around my age.

My new Vivienne Westwood has proved to be the perfect handbag so far. It fits all my essentials in it, plus my SLR camera, which is definitely a bonus!

I hope you had a lovely weekend, I wish I could have hidden in mine for a little bit longer…

What better way is there to spend a long weekend than visiting a winery in the beautiful town of Denmark? None if you ask me! My social media buddies (Including Nadine and Lei Lei) and myself set out on the five hour drive last Friday to share a glass of wine – or three – with the Rockcliffe crew.

This post is a bit of a visual diary of our trip, starting with a long drive, plenty of Rockcliffe, Quarrum Rocks and Third Reef Wine, beautiful fresh local produce, amazing views, a tour of the winery, and hundreds upon hundreds of kodak moments!

I must admit, while I enjoy a glass or two, I would class myself as a wine rookie. Rockcliffe treated us to a tasting of their entire range which I found really interesting from the perspective of someone who probably hadn’t tried each of the wines before. Stand outs for me were the Rockcliffe Pinot Noir, Quarrum Rocks Rose, and Quarrum Rocks Sauvignon Blanc Semillon – I would recommend these three to anyone!

It truly was a wonderful experience, and I would urge you to take the trip to Denmark and give them a visit if you can. It’s a great excuse for a mini getaway, and why not stop in at the iconic tree top walk or Williams Bay while you’re there (we sure did!)

I must say a huge thank you to the Rockcliffe crew for their endless hospitality, we really had the best time!

I hope you had an equally wonderful long weekend!
